How do home owners want to listen to Music?

Surveys by major manufacturers indicate that music is considered important to a large number of home owners. However, home owners run into a set of typical problems:

  •  The music equipment is in one room but they have to do things in a different room.
  •  It is difficult to sort through the CDs and DVDs to find the music they want to listen to when they want to listen to it.
  •  Different family members may want to listen to different things at the same time.

So, are there any good solutions? You bet!

Solution 1: Get a Bose custom installed music system from NIC.
  1. Up to 340 hours of music storage- store 340 hours worth of your favorite CDs...never have to search for a CD again!!
  2. Built-Invisible Base and Speakers- selects and plays the music you enjoy. Automatically. No menus. No need to create play lists. N
  3. uMusic™ intelligent playback system- selects and plays the music you enjoy. Automatically. No menus. No need to create play lists. No computer required.
  4. Bose® link smart expansion protocol-  allows you to add 14 additional rooms of sound. Play different sources in different rooms at the same time, or have instant access to your entire music collection from any room of your home.
  5. ADAPTiQ® audio calibration- the system listens to your room, learns where your speakers are, then adapts the sound to overcome most of the acoustical challenges.
  6. TV power sense – plasma, LCD, CRT can now all be sensed by the system.  Power for display devices can be automatically controlled by the system.  You can turn on your Bose® system, and the TV turns on automatically when it is needed.
  7. Progressive scan video rendering NTSC-  YEP now with 480p output. The system can even pass 720p and 1080i signals through its video pass through.  (note, a second component adaptor (PN:274343-001) is need to pass such signals)).
  8. Enhanced Videostage® decoding-  automatically recognizes video and audio signals to engage appropriate versions of Videostage® 5 decoding, which means that music and movies sound better.

Solution 2: Get an IP-Based Audio Distribution system from NIC.
  1. Converts audio signals from legacy systems to IP packets- IP is the Internet Protocol standard. Use IP audio packets to distribute audio to any other room in the building!!
  2. Distribute Audio using Computer Network Wiring- Use the same Category 5 or Category 5E cable to distribute audio using the same star topology standard network infrastructure that is used for computers and phones.
  3. Advanced LCD Touch Pad Control- Choose your audio device, pick your songs, and adjust your speakers using a color touch pad screen. You can even set clock alarms!
  4. Access Music Servers Seamlessly- Store hundreds of hours of music on a music server connected to the same audio local area network.
  5.  Power Your Speakers- The device that receives the IP audio packets and converts them to analog audio signals also amplifies your speakers using DC power provided by a DC power unit.
  6. Reduces interference-  Since the audio signals are transmitted digitally from the source to the speaker IP to analog converters, the signal is less susceptible to R.F. interference. You get great sound quality.
