Vacuuming. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got
to do it!
|
| Although vacuuming may not be what you consider fun, there
are ways to make it easier. |
|
| |
(So what does this have to do with home
theater, integrated writing, audio, video, or computers, you might ask?)
|
|
Well, actually nothing. However, if we're
talking about helping make your home more fun, convenient,
lifestyle-improving, and enjoyable, why not include central vacuum systems
as well? After all, they are installed about the same time as the wiring
infrastructure for telephones, computers, TVs, audio, and home theater
systems. |
| |
| With central vacuum systems, the motor and cyclonic cleaner
system are located in a location remote from the living area such as the
garage. It is attached to a network of large diameter tubes in the walls
that connect to valve fittings distributed throughout the home. Lightweight
attachments are connected to one of the valve opening, which turns on the
remotely located vacuum motor. |

Central Vacuum Versus Portable Vacuum:
|
Central Vacuum Systems have the following advantages:
- Home Value: A central vacuum system can be about the same
price of a upper end portable vacuum, but it should add $2,000 or more to
the value of your house.
- Healthier air: Re-circulated dirty air is eliminated
because the dirt is carried through the walls out to an out-of-the way
receptacle.
- Convenience: You don't have to carry a heavy central unit
from room to room or up and down stairs. There are no power cords to get
in the way.
- Power: Central vacuums hae three to five times more power
than a portable vacuum. You might say that a central vacuum really sucks!
- Low Noise: Central vacuums are quieter because the motor
is located in a remote location (garage, etc.).
- Versatility: Central vacuums provide the same attachments
that a portable vacuum offers.
- Cost: Central vacuum dealers claim you also save money
because you prolong the life of your carpets, drapes, and furniture.
