Although security systems are often left out of initial planning for home construction, it is best to include them in the planning stage for several reasons. First, security systems generally follow the same wiring topology as telephone, computer, video, and audio systems. Second, it is advisable to make security equipment part of the integrated networking plan. Third, by planning ahead, you will just about always get a better security system and save money.
